      The Twilight Vamps are completely different than the standards we’ve come to know and fear. In Twilight they are concidered the perfect preditor. They sparkle in the daylight, not to be pretty but as an act of hunting. Think of it like a deer in the headlights effect. That is the author’s theory at least. I can’t say I like this new view of this ancient race, but it does make for an interesting twist to the tale.
