A 5 Year Old and His Zombie Game
Here is a little video of Rylan playing Left for Dead 2. Is it wrong to let my son play these types of games? Some people say yes and some say no. I do restrict the playing of games that deal with killing or the death of the living, but we say bring on the annihilation of the undead. What do you think?

We go the same route w/ our boys. Playing GTA where you ran around shooting up cities, stealing, and running over people is off limits. But, if you want to go monster or zombie-hunting, go for it! I atually think it’s empowering for them to be able to go after creatures that normally terrify children and destroy them.
It’s nice to see there are other people out there who actually look at a game for what it is rather than just saying “no, it has guns, you can’t play that”.

Isn’t Left For Dead 2 an M rated game?

Becky: Exactly. He also plays Red Dead Redemption just to ride the horse or kill snakes.
Darla: It is rated M for Most excellent. J/k, while it is a mature game he knows zombies aren’t real and evil so he likes to take them out to prevent the spread of the virus.
In most games he loves to save people and be in the hero role. Protecting the innocent even in a virtual sense has taught him much in choosing to be good and do whats right.
