ReBoot Seasons 1 and 2 Review and Giveaway

Way back in the day I used to catch this cartoon on TV that was all 3-D and stuff. I mean like 3-D in the early 90’s…not way over-hyped and over-priced 3-D of today. This show was called ReBoot. Since early 1990s, Dot Matrix, Enzo, Guardian Bob and thousands of Binomes from ReBoot have thrust into battles with corrupt forces of Megabyte and Hexadecimal to stop their relentless pursuit of chaos and destruction of the high-tech city Mainframe. ReBoot made history for being the first fully computer-generated animated TV series when it debuted on U.S and Canadian television in 1994.

ReBoot ran for four successful seasons and was seen in over 70 countries around the world, boasting a large fan base of loyal followers in kids and adult gamers alike. The show’s unique setting inside a computer allows the characters and storylines to mine the references to computers and video games for all they’re worth, giving the show its humorous edge. The innovative animation, insider humor and high octane action combine to give viewers a lot of binary bang for their buck. Now you can relive the fast-paced animated action adventures the long-awaited Reboot: Seasons 1 and 2 DVD set out now from Shout! Factory, in association with Rainmaker Entertainment, Inc. This collectible 4-DVD set features all 23 episodes from the first and second seasons, along with special commentary by producer Christopher Brough, designer and storyboard artist Blair Peters and animator Zeke Norton.

Pros:  Great storylines that still entertain my kids after several watches.

Cons:   Like other “classic” cartoons you can tell it is a little dated.

      I used to love this show. I thought it was funny how the characters of the computer would look at computer games and the users playing them with apocalyptic horror.

      I *loved* ReBoot. Hexadecimal was one of my favorite characters because of her design and Megabyte for his voice~ I loved the scene in Enzo’s birthday episode when Megabyte and Bob have a guitar duel. xD

      Yes I’ve heard of it and did watch it. I did record some on VHS. It would be great to watch the complete series. Your right it was ahead of it time.

      Yes! I used to watch ReBoot every Saturday morning. I still have many of the episodes on worn-out VHS tapes, and all my ReBoot action figures, but it would be awesome to own this series on DVD. Thank you for the chance to win.
