Pampers Hello Apps and iTouch Giveaway

Growing up in the digital age is so beneficial for the children of today. Just because we as parents didn’t grow up in this age doesn’t mean we can’t take part in it and enjoy it too. Pampers has come out with two sweet apps that make pre-birth to several years down the road fun for parents who want to stay involved with their children and watch their development.

Before the Birth

The Pampers Hello Baby Pregnancy Calendar allows you to explore life-sized images (iPad only; images in iPhone and iTouch are not life-sized) of a baby in the wormb from week 4 up to week 40. Learn about the stages of pregnancy and make small discovers about a baby’s development. Did you know that a baby could respond to sounds by week 28? The “womb translator” feature allows you to record your voice, then play it back or share it with friends in the tone that your baby hears it.

After the Birth

The Pampers Hello World Baby Memories lets you take daily photos of your baby and then easily create a time-lapse video so you can watch your baby grow. You can use Growing Baby for anything—a developing pregnancy bump, the growth of little fingers, hands, and feet, or a baby’s facial features. You can record his evolution for days, months or even years and then watch it in seconds.

Download the Hello World for free through the iTunes App Store here and make memories daily with your kiddos.

These are really outstanding tools for parents to use to get closer to their kids before and after the birth. I kind of wish they were around for us to use when my oldest was born. Don’t get any ideas…we are done.

      My favorite memory of being pregnant is from my second time around. I was pregnant with my second son and had awful morning sickness. I was throwing up all the time! Apparently this was old hat around my house. My toddler decided one day that he was going to sympathy throw up with me. As I had my head buried in the trash dry heaving for the millionth time that day my son stuck his head in the trash can and spit. He just kept spitting in the trash can, saying “yucky mommy, yucky!”

      My favorite pregnancy memory:

      With my first, I was sick from Day 1 until I delivered. One day I was out shopping with my sister, and I was in the mood for McDonald’s (who am I kidding, I craved it!), we we stopped – got 2 cheeseburgers, fries and a Big Red (soda). We were 1/2 way back to my house when I felt the urge to throw up. I told her to pull over, but she wasn’t fast enough – and I barfed Big Red all over her BRAND NEW car!! 🙂
      We still laugh until we cry over this story!

      Motherhood in general is a very beautiful chapter in life.. and it’s definitely very rewarding. Every minute of every day is memorable. From the first ‘Mama’ .. to her first ‘steps’ even her first tantrum…. i am enjoying EVERY bit of being a Mommy, and i would NEVER wish to go back to just me and the hubs.. life is finally complete! 🙂

      The best part of pregnancy is around month 7 – no more morning sickness, you’ve gained enough weight to actually look pregnant and not just overweight (lol!), you’re not so big yet that everything’s uncomfortable, but at the same time the baby is big enough to feel and sometimes even see kicks and other movements. That never ceases to amaze me. The best of the baby years is seeing their personalities develop once they start talking and hearing them call you mama for the first time.

      My first pregnancy was wonderful. I had SO much energy! I have chronic headaches and they almost went completely away during my pregnancy.
      I worked 3 jobs during the pregnancy, one was at a VFW club and almost like family. They had me a baby shower and I ended up not having to buy a single diaper until she was 4 months old. I also made every watch the video of my u/s on the big screen, lol.

      My favorite part of seeing my children grow, is watching them learn new things for the first time! Seeing them pet their first dog, or eat their first lemon, or tie their shoes for the first time. It’s amazing how their brains and bodies progress!
