Monsters Inc. Review
Ever wonder when growing up why monsters insisted on scaring the crap out of you? Wait….you mean you didn’t have any monster bothering you? Well, I figured I would let you in on a little secret….monsters are real! If you don’t believe me then you need to pick up a copy of Monsters, Inc. 4-disc combo pack and see for yourself. I watched this movie for the first time all of the way through just this past week. I don’t know why I had never finished it, but I finally did. This movie is fun for all ages like all of the other Pixar movies. It’s really refreshing to see an entire movie centered around strange characters whose society thrives on the energy that they collect by scaring our world.

My Mini-Synopsis of the Movie
Well, we start out with some of what monsters do best…scaring kids half to death. Seems to me that their whole world depends on the energy that comes from a child’s scream. Sulley is the champion “scarer” and he is accompanied by his one-eyed friend Mike. They have just a normal scare on a child, but the catch on this one is that she follows them back. Humans aren’t allowed in the Monster world and this really poses a problem for the monstrous duo. They try to hide the little girl named “Boo”, get in trouble once the company finds out they are harboring a dangerous little child, rescue the girl on numerous occasions and then….once again not telling you how it ends.
Ryan’s Rating
After all it is a Pixar movie and they have proven time and time again that they put out quality. There are tons of special features and having the Blu-Ray, the DVD, and the digital copy makes life so much easier. This way we can use it at home, in the car, and on the iPhone for use at Doctor’s appointment and other times I have to bribe the kiddos to shush! The only thing wrong with the entire movie is the ending….WHAT THE HECK DID HE SEE OR WHAT WERE WE SUPPOSED TO THINK WHEN HE ENTERED THAT ROOM?!?!? GAGHH! It may be simple to figure out but, It wasn’t for me.
Overall Rating – 6 out of 10
