I would have to say my 4th grade teacher. I was fortunate enough to have a very supportive family who encouraged me in everything I did, but having someone outside of my family take an interest in my well being and encourage me at every turn did wonders for my self esteem. He was an amazing man that changed many of his students lives for the better. Mine included.

I was in an abusive situation as a child, and it took a couple of my teachers stepping up and getting involved for things to improve for me… they definitely encouraged me, in more ways than they could possibly know!
