Most people say that change is good.  Well, I can at least say that changing your oil in your engine is very good.  Did you know that in the United States the average age of cars and light trucks on the roads today has reached a record high of 9.4 years? That means it´s more important than ever to take proper care of your vehicle.

With the informative Web site www.MotorOilMatters.org (created by the maker of industry-leading brands Pennzoil and Quaker State) you can easily locate key information about how quality motor oils can help prolong your engine´s life and improve overall efficiency, as well as help answer other questions you may have about motor oil. In addition, the site offers a fun, educational game for you to play called “M.O.M. Knows Best” where you can put your motor mind to the test with an interactive quiz.

      I knew that I didn’t know anything about oil but the quiz proved it. I didn’t realize that it made a difference what grade of oil you put in your car. Luckily since I always take it to Jiffy Lube, I am sure they are putting in the right stuff for me.

      I learned that all cars have different recommendations for how often oil should be changed that can be found in a car’s manual. I always thought it was the standard 3 months or 3000 miles for oil changes.

      Thanks for the giveaway…what I found most interesting at the Motor Oil Matter site: the fact that switching between synthetic and conventional oil will not cause any harm to engines, and the online tool, “Choosing Oil Matters”, that can help you determine the correct motor oil for your specific vehicle i.e. make-model-engine.
