KLUTZ Book of Animation Review and Giveaway

When I think about some of my favorite stop motion films ever created I sit back and try to fathom the animators pure genius. I usually finish off this thought thinking there is no way that I could ever produce anything that even resembles the likes of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Classic Gumby, or any of the Rankin and Bass classics like Rudolph, The Little Drummer Boy, and Santa Claus. The People over at KLUTZ have tried to make me feel a little bit better about my short-comings in the art department with the The Klutz Book of Animation.

I am #12 in the Klutz Book of Animation Blog Tour and these guys have put all of this together to give you just a taste of how fun and easy it is. Anybody with a computer, camera, internet connection and a little bit of creativity can create animated films for the masses. The Klutz Book of Animation is a how-to-guide for this art form. Step-by-step instructions show you how to create a variety of different classic stop motion special effects. Watch the real videos we created here and then start making your own!

Also, make sure you stop by Momma Findings tomorrow to check another fun giveaway & video feature!

Wallace & Grommit is really the only stop motion films I’m familiar with, but you’ve inspired me to do some research with my son! I know he would love these books. Thanks for the chance to win.

I’d have to go with a classic. Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

I also think that the cupcake dance to “La Redécouverte” is amazing (look on YouTube.)
