I just sent well over $100 that I collected in the last year to the local school. I don’t have kids, but I feel a responsibility to help. See, 75% of these kids live in poverty, and boxtops don’t go for playground equiptment, new computers or even books in the library. It is primarly used for basic school supplies. Many of these kids can’t afford what most parents think nothing of buying, so each time I clip a boxtop I think, “That will buy a child a pencil so he can do his homework.”

Yes, I save the tops for a local area school. It’s great knowing I helped to purchase school supplies for the children!

I’ve been collecting boxtops for years… but I only just recently had my first son. I’ll be sending them along with him to school one day, but it wont be for several years yet. Thanks.

We collect them and donate them to our children’s school. They use them to make extra funds for additional school supplies midyear.

I don’t have a child, but I think the Box Tops for Education program is a simple way to contribute to children’s educations and provide much-needed supplies 🙂 I enrolled long ago and share my box tops with families who have school-age children. *Thanks* for the giveaway!

My child isn’t in school, but I collect them to give to friends with older children. The way I see it, if that was a coupon I wouldn’t toss the box before taking it off, so why leave the BTFE on there?
