What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Dr. Smith’s Giveaway

When I was told that I was going to be a father for the first time I was in awe. I didn’t know what I was in for. I thought that my wife’s belly would get bigger, the baby would kick every once in awhile, and then we would have a brand new little person in our lives that I could hold while they were slipped into sweet slumber. Little did I know that my wife would have horrible pains from muscles and nerves that she did not even know existed. She also would get kicked in several different spots on the interior of her body and I know she had internal bruising. Cuddling and sleeping near each other were non existent due to the variety of positions she had to be in just to be comfortable. We won’t even go into crazy strange people swooping in and getting all touchy-feely with the belly.

I did so underestimate the whole experience of US being pregnant. It must have not been too bad since we decided to go through it all again two more times! Just like each child is nothing like the other….neither were the pregnancies. Expect the unexpected!

I think that there is one movie that can put a good deal of these experiences into a film. It’s What to Expect When Your Expecting.
